It is not a question of what I do,
but who I am …
I am a visual entertainer,
a scientist,
an inventor, an interpreter, and a psychologist … all wrapped up as an ARTIST. After 30 years of painting and teaching, water media is best
suited
to my spirit of play, exploration, and need for new discoveries.
I am always asked: “How long have you been painting?” Frankly, I don’t remember any time in my life when I was not painting. As a young child in Germany, living without my parents, art was my constant companion, therapy, pastime and focus and joy in my life. Another standard question from my customers is: “Is 'Flower' your real name?” All I need to say is, “Yes, I married one!”
Coming to the United States in 1957, the doors opened to me with many opportunities in the art world. Studies of art through several universities, and with many of the world’s top artists, plus the never ending support and help of my husband, have helped me to accomplish my goal to be the artist I dreamed of being.
My knowledge, experience, enthusiasm, and love for the arts gives me the confidence and perseverance to produce my personal and creative statements on a daily basis. My paintings fall into two different categories which are further explained with examples on my gallery page.
My ultimate satisfaction comes from continually inventing, stretching and improving myself. My search for new ideas, new methods, and new techniques is a never-ending quest as a successful artist. I am always proud to be able to show my works—with a strong sense of WHERE LOVE AND SKILL COME TOGETHER.
